Horses head has now been glued into place, after I attached the front of the reigns to the bridle. Ground work has now been finished after the middle has been filled in.
Putty added to the neck joint so now drying. Need to paint the horses tail and then the horse will be done.
I have cut out some reigns from some lead strip so they are ready for painting. For col burthe need to attach his sabretache and sword holder.

Is it me, or is this rein just flapping around in the wind ?

Looks like it, could be a tether rather than a rein?

Totally agree ...a BELTER.........groundwork looks better with the centre part ...nice modelling on the groundwork

The whole SBS has been great to follow , certainly value ..cost against benchtime

Why not enter in the class of your choice in the new FOTM as well as voting in the previous month , also there is Vignette & Diorama comp ...see link at top of page

Always good to see your artwork

    Thanks for sharing

Look forward to seeing the next

    Happy benchtime

doing a bit more research on the reins, found this picture on MB website of another French Hussar, and a clearer image of the reins, this time on the left hand side, so think i will go with this as it makes more sense than to have a rein or tether just flapping about when charging into battle !

Can hide the end of the reins under the saddle cover.
