Repainted the uniform colour ...lot happier ...will post pic when buttons and chain painted ...tonight ...hopefully !!!

Thinking of putting a different sleep gang onto the helmet ....any suggestions ?

The pieces will be pinned for fitting and using that for holding when painting

It's easy to confuse me ..lol ..see what you meant ...normally I would build the whole piece up but with my coupke of changes its easier ....and safer like this !

Decided to add a few more leaves to the flowers ...won't show too much but I know they are there !

Verbal update on this ......buttons ( with a star ) painted , crucifix chain done

Been pushing putty on the helmet straps ( several times after snapping them !!...now drying overnight

Basecoating the flowers as well

Also found another picture of the veteran ....good view of face

Finished detailing the inside of helmet up ....not sure why as its not going to shows ..still I know its there!! .....straps hanging adds a bit more interest ...iffyvision pics below !

Hi to all

Bit of verbal update
....primed the helmet , left to fully dry in garage ...went back to getting ...on floor ...straps snapped...luckily cleanly ...now repaired ..oh the joys!

.....if they break again ..will put the strap up on the helmet .....still thinking about that ! ...all thoughts welcome !

Began painting tge flowers starting with greenery ...all that's done now ...the actual flowers today ...all being well ...after careful sanding of the helmet straps

......off to the florists ...using Martins references ...but might put a bit of colour variation on the tulips , there's only 1 daffodil sculpted ...that I could find !
