This is a picture posted bt PF member Fantamos on release in 2013!!!

Why this piece ....well it will be a challenge and I was very much motivated ( in no particular order !!) by the artwork of various arists including Jason Whitman and Olga Zernia and Sven all from this forum

Bishop Jay Whitman.JPG Bishop by Jay.JPG Bishop by Jay w.JPG Bishop by Olga.jpg Bishop by Olga Zernia.jpg Bishop Jason Green.jpg xx.jpg x.jpg

I repaired various areas and made new hanging pieces for the back and did a little rework/sculpting on the sceptre he carries based on original items 9 stil things need to be tidied up before priming

So mine now looks like this :

WIP 008.jpg WIP 010.jpg WIP 009.jpg the other side has a cross on it

This is a ongoing project and just need to finish off a couple of others ...but might work inbetween them on this !!...just thought I would start up the thread !!!!

    Happy benchtime

This is a lovely and unusual piece Kev, and full of character. Like you I was also inspired to get it after seeing some cracking versions by some very talented painters.

I managed to break one of the "hanging bits" when I was playing with mine so that will need sorting when I eventually get round to tackling it. Looking forward to seeing your version once finished. I think you're right, it's one of those pieces that's going to be a challenge for any painter, but should look great if you can pull it off.

Great to see you doing this bust. I really like the adjustments and sculpting work you have done so far. Can't wait to see the first paint and your very own version of the bishop.

You do like a challenge Kev. I will watch this one as I know you will make it interesting. I guess historically this piece could fit into a number of different eras as not much has changed regalia-wise over quite a few centuries.

Maybe there are no medals, but lots of metallic embroidery for you to do Nap. He also has a fancy crozier to make up for lack of medals. You will do him justice I'm sure.
