    Hello,

I have finished the paintingwork for the beautiful figure by Alexandros:
Sergent Voltigeur 3éme régiment d'Infanterie de Ligne, 1809.
Alex gives it the name: Mon ami le soldat...
    I add: ...et le coq...
The rooster is produced by Himini.

I hope you like my efforts.

    Ben

Beautifully painted and presented. The cockerel adds another fine element which balances the scene very nicely.

Thanks Graham. It takes some moments to invent something to this base. I have seen melons, pumpkins and something else. I saw the brids from Himini and it gives me the spirit to add the rooster on it.

Excellent work. I was also thinking of adding a bird to mine when I eventually start it. Well done.

Excellent job Ben. Just starting mine. Trying to one up with an idea for groundwork. Love the addition of the rooster; never would have thought of it. I was thinking cabbages or something like that.

Hello, I understand, the bird legs are very weak and fragile. The bottom of the legs has some casting and I use it to put/glue it in the ground.
Excuse me for my bad English...:(

    Hi Ben

What's not to like on this vignette ...it's a cracking result you have achieved

The addition is a great idea and all pieces are really well painted ....I wonder if our soldíer sees his dinner coming towards him with the cockerel ?

It's a excellent release from Alexandros and askew have seen very popular

As always good to see your artwork

Do consider entering the FOTM in the class of your choice as well as something in the Vignettes & Diorama comp

    Thanks for sharing

    Happy benchtime

    Stay safe
