I thought I would have a go at doing these two Voltiguer's, both are Metal Models 54mm.
Both are slight conversions. One has a new light infantry shako and I will have to make some tiny bugle horns for the coat tails. Each head has had a moustache added from green stuff.
I have also gone over the waistcoats with thinned liquid green stuff and found it quite good if stippled on. Gives a slight uneven appearance, I was aiming for a wool texture. Hope it works in this scale ( it did on a 75mm).
Nothing is glued except the arms and I was playing around on where to place them on the base. This may take a while but I am not going anywhere soon.

Thank you Nap, Mike and Andrew,
Hope not to disappoint on this one but I have thought about doing this project for a while now. Metal Modeles don't disappoint.
    Perfect timing with lockdown.

Nice bit of conversion work there Bob. Super little scene and the two figures really interact to give that sense of being part of something bigger (if that makes sense!)

Well the gardening team came in and had a look. Garden SOS.
I decided to start again and this is the result and I am a lot happier. Now to start the figures.

This looks much better to me. Initially I thought the brown was too intense and dominant. Good call to add more vegetation (IMHO, of course).

Don't do vegetation ...another reason to paint busts !

Looks good to me ...don't imagine Charlie Dimmock had much to do with it ?

    Happy figure painting

Small amount of progress and I have been told I am painting the kitchen tomorrow 1/1 scale.
Don't think I will need my size 2 sable.
