Chronos seems unstopable! One more superb Napoleonic piece mounted on one of Chronos' unmatched horses.

Another fantastic figure (and horse) from Chronos of a surprisingly uncommon subject.

    Another one for the list...

These are beautiful figures make no mistake.

Every time I send in a large order with CHRONOS it never fails. They almost immediately release another must have figure! Oh well, it is time to start a new list.

Beautiful on horseback figure but for such a prestigious brand like Chronos Miniatures, we should expect the touch of offering their new figures painted.

Beautiful painting. The pose is superb too. Everything about this figure, including the horse, is top quality.
I’ve just ordered this figure along with several other recent Chronos releases to add to my growing collection.
    Can’t wait to start!

It's a beautiful figure with expert painting. Congrats.

PF's; feedback: I already ordered it and got in in short time so the delivery and the postage is AAA+++ of Chronos Co. On the main page of the manufacturer you can select the material: mine version was made from white metal. The parts are clean and easy to collect together. (I'm still waiting more free time to glue or start the figure but the first dry tests were fine, the parts connected well, only minimal putty would be necessary)

The two regiments (at that time still with the old helmets) were severely cut down at Austerlitz by the Mamelukes and the Grenadiers á Cheval of the French Guard...:

The figurine of this officer is at the earliest in 1812, and his helmet is of the 1809 model, so, alas, he has nothing to do with Austerlitz.

The same helmets that you call old, were not old at all in 1805, and all the Russian heavy cavalry (cuirassiers, dragoons), as well as horse artillery, were wearing them.

About the losses among the two cuirassier regiments, it is worth remembering that the Chevalierguard Regiment took part in the famous battle in the amount of two squadrons, not two regiments, which came to the rescue of the perishing guards infantry, attacked by Mamluks and Chasseurs. The Chevalierguard Regiment attacked the enemy, which allowed the guards infantry to retreat, but the French arrived in time with reinforcements, as a result, 7 squadrons of the French cavalry fell on two squadrons of the cavalry. The Lifeguard Horse Regiment took part in this battle only at the end, helping one squadron of Chevalierguards to retreat, and suffered almost no losses, while the other squadron of the cavalry regiment was surrounded and practically completely destroyed. The losses of the Chevalierguard Regiment were: 2 killed officers, 11 officers wounded and/or captured, 226 privates and non-commissioned officers were killed, wounded or captured. The surviving cuirassiers regrouped, and until the end of the day covered the retreat of the troops to Austerlitz. But this story, as I wrote above, has nothing to do with the officer's figurine.

Thank you for the details of the cavalry clash at Austerlitz. I have visited that battlefield over the course of three days. It is largely intact and with an excellent museum a top the Pratzen Heights. It is a must see for anyone interested in this era of history. By the way, CHRONOS does make an excellent figure of the Chevalier Guard of 1805.

The link to the Chronos website seems to have been taken over by a young lady laying on her bed showing her undoubted modelling skills.

Thought I would flag it up as I had the same link when I tried through a web search.

Delightful but not what I was looking for.
