    Hi All,
I'm sure you all have a normal d.i.y. drill so this is my paint shaker. A 25mm rubber walking stick end, a 6mm bolt nut and 2 washers, one for the internal and one for the external clamping of the rubber cup. Best of all only a couple of pounds to make, put it in you drill chuck and whizz around either on slow start or fast, work a treat and all that money you save you can buy another kit.
    cheers

That's a cracking idea Richie, might give that a try.
Only thought is though... how do you get round now without your walking stick :D

    Cheers

That's a great idea, Ritchie! One creative idea popped up in my mind but it wouldn't be proper to post pictures of it...LOL

    Hi Guys

Interesting options here , I like Richie's version ....atm I am a hand and finger fella ....and I have a very muscular right arm ( cough )

Suppose if it works for you then that's fine

Off for a bit of wrist action ....( double cough )

    Ritchie.....Thanks...You nailed it for me.
Sometimes those acrylic paints need some pretty aggressive shaking and because I have a bad shoulder I had been looking or thinking about some kind of simple shaker and didn't care for the ones I saw available for one reason or another. Anyway ,I have an old variable speed small hand scroll saw that I was thinking of using in some way and your screw and leg tip idea works perfect. I just fastened that setup to an old blade and it holds those little paint bottles perfect. It shakes the daylights out of those bottles and 10 seconds is all that needed. "It actually makes paint shaking fun again". Richie you can use that line if you decide to patent and market.:D
Hans.....I think you've been looking at too many sex toy catalogs.....:) …….not that there's anything wrong with that.
Nap.....Shame on you for that kind of talk;...."You a nasty boy"...….:ROFLMAO:

My solution. Nothing fancy but cheap and effective. My son-in-law refers to it as redneck engineering. I'll take that as a compliment IMG_2612.jpeg IMG_2613.jpeg

    Welcome to the Planet, Bob!
Yeah, one of the guys in our club made something along similar lines. He took an old jigsaw and found a small pistol-grip clamp that fit in the saw's blade clamp, and uses that to shake jars of paint.
I look forward to seeing what you're painting with that well-mixed paint!

    Prost!

I saw a paint shaker gadget for sale at last year's Scale Model World - it was thirty-odd quid! I tape the bottles to the dog's tail and then threaten him with treats - you can buy a lot of treats for thirty quid. Explains why there's always hairs on my paint.
