Hello everyone,


Thank you to the moderator(s)/administrator(s) for approving my membership on such short notice. Because of the pandemic, I have not been able to participate in any of my other hobbies, so I have decided to adopt a new one--miniature painting, as you might have guessed! Still deciding upon my paints, brushes and other supplies as of right now, but I am very much interested in painting 1/16 and 1/35 WWII figures, dioramas and busts. This forum, as opposed to CoolMiniOrNot, seems to cater more to the historical miniatures demographic, so I look forward to interacting and sharing with you all now and in the new year to come!

Thank you for the warm welcome here as well as in the General Discussion forum, friend! As a child I used to visit my local gaming store, where I'd watch people play Warhammer (the original and 40K), board games and card games, but it hasn't been until recently that I've wanted to get involved in the hobby (of miniature painting). I have rated over a thousand miniatures on the CoolMiniOrNot website, however I cannot find such a feature on PlanetFigure--is there one? On your profile I clicked the album tab but there was nothing there. I would like to see your busts, if they are for public viewing and engagement.

Rated over a thousand miniatures on CoolMiniOrNot, of the over 250,000 postings, and although there's more on there, the concentration of talent is much higher on here. I'd wager the average miniature on CMON is a 6, whereas the average miniature on here is an 8 or 9. Thanks for the welcome!

Thank you for the welcome, Bill. I don't care for points, but I think it might be a helpful tool for beginners to gauge their skill progression from one piece to the next. There's a lot more interaction and feedback coming from users on here than on CMON, which I consider a lot more helpful because the level of talent on here is incredible!
