As you can see a wide variety of bases of all shapes sizes and styles suitable for all modelling needs so the website is well worth having a look at ( details in first picture as well )

THANK YOU to Adelmolgno for the bases that have been sent

    Happy basing

Sadly my Italian not being up to much all I could do was look at the pictures

I was lucky enough to be sent a pair of bases from Adelmo so I thought folks like might to see what they are like. I deliberately chose a couple of more unusual bases since I like the ones that I get from Oakwood for my 'standard' base. These arrived very promptly given the current circumstances wrapped in scrunched newspaper inside a cardboard box. As you can see they are very distinctive and unique pieces which are attractive in their own right (Possibly a little too 'fancy'? although that's always a matter of personal taste)
Size wise the plinths bases are about 100 mm square and the top area just about big enough for a couple of 54's or a single larger figure (I'll see if I can find something around 80-90mm which will suit the height of the base better than a single 75mm)

They are quite nicely finished with varnish or lacquer so the chunks of tree are sealed after they've been shaped and polished. There's also a screw attaching the wooden top part from underneath the base so no danger of the top breaking off at an inopportune moment. The dark wood plinths themselves had almost a rough texture rather than a highly polished finish which IMO suits the style of base top. Underneath the base has a nice little brand added, although there's no baize/felt underneath - easy enough to add, but perhaps not something I'd expect from a commercial base?

In conclusion - Distinctive pieces which have an 'arty/hand-crafted' feel. The website shows each piece in an easy to view list of photo's and the delivery was prompt.

Thanks to Adelmo for supplying these - I'll hopefully find something suitable to display on them at a later date
    Paul
