As you can see, the color of the shirt ranges from dirty sand to faded blue, so it will be grayish with a shade of blue.



I added some steel blue to the base:


And a group photo, for comparison of the shades of shirts, because the Britt's one was clearly lighter, even in black and white photos. The face will have to be compared in the same way, because everyone had a different carnation. But I guess it's ok:

I will not change the base color. I've been thinking about getting it dirty with some gray sand, but I'm afraid it might not turn out too well. Besides, the rest of the team is fairly clean. So I guess the only thing left for me to do is turn up the contrasts, the deepest shadows and the brightest highlights. And that's it.

Ushabti bone + agrax earthshade/seraphim sepia maybe?

That shirt is a difficult colour to actually pinpoint. Sometimes in the clips it looks very pale blue/grey and other times it has a more pale dusty brown shade. Difficult call, but you will get it right I'm sure.

I think you need to adjust your colour mix.

These were the screen shots that I used as a reference:-



The first one was purely for the eye colour.
The way I saw the shirt, it was a very faded light greenish-grey, and generally a bit mucky.
I kept adjusting the light green that I started with until I got the colour and shade I wanted.
I can't remember exactly, but just looking at it, I probably used light grey, white and a spot of brown for the adjustment. Once dry, I applied a sepia wash and sponged it off.

This is only the first layer, only the beginning. Painting shirts takes the most time, I always wait for the paint to dry well, try not to use a hair dryer.
Seraphim sepia - Citadel shade (glossy, because very fresh).


As for dirt - I decided that it would be without it. I'm more focused on recreating the color of this shirt as much as possible.

Same mixture (more gray this time) as a filter. Base with black in the recesses. Wet mixed now. It's starting to look good.

Meanwhile, I adjusted the contrast and aplicated nuln oil in tucks, because they are nice and it is worth making them visible.



And since I've gotten to the point where I can't do anything anymore and can spoil more, I leave it as it is. Finally, after painting the skin and details, I'll come back to fix something.

In the daylight it turned out that I still had to smooth the color transitions on the shirt. The right sleeve came out fine, so did the back. Left sleeve and front to improve, I will use gray glaze to bring it out.

All of them. I think Britt should be quite tanned, though not as dark-skinned as O'Reilly.
