Just ordered one as my late father was a Desert Rat, so with a little alteration, I'll base it on him.

Yep Nap - primary reference is this one of Sgt Ian Thomas, NZEF

If I’d paint it would aim to bring back closer to this NZer depicted ready for El Alamein

Mine arrived today, and apart from the errors already pointed out, its very well cast and the detail is good.
I can see it being very popular even though it requires some additional work.

Fingers crossed a little more care is taken on their next release and I look forward to seeing it.

What sort of 37 pouches are those with a unique closure? If that a Kiwi design? Cool bust, I like

I have to admit that although I like the kit, I'm very disappointed with all the errors.
I've sanded down, the helmet, but it still doesn't look right. ( I'm not an expert on this era)
Going to leave the rifle off, may just paint it as it is, rather than spend so much time correcting all the mistakes.

Shame it could've been a really good kit.

Got my bust today. Rather nice.
My spare netted helmet from the Legion Gurkha will fit a treat. Just have to make the headband. Adjustable of course. Not!

Rifle sling, pouch closures and the most obvious error, pack shoulder straps. I will add the small attachment fittings when the 37 pattern small pack was slung over the shoulder.

I would just like to add to the above comments.
I purchased mine from AK direct and it arrived safely (apart from a little drama with a missing piece commented on in the Lounge).
Notwithstanding the errors in sculpting mentioned above (the unusual way of carrying the rifle, the rifle sling, helmet, webbing and that twee fox in the pouch etc) there is no doubt that this is a quality product, as exemplified by the quality of the box, the quality of the casting and the resin used, and parts that fit together perfectly, and the work required to correct the mistakes shouldn’t be beyond the capabilities of most modellers.
There’s no doubt that it’s a good figure but with a little more thought at the design stage it could have been one of the all time greats.
