Very early days yet. elan13 The Defeated by Mike Blank.
Really just the base coats and initial lights and shades so far.
Will be dulling down the groundwork a bit but I want to keep a 'summery' vibe to it.
Another nice base from Pete Watson
    Cheers

    Shaping up nicely Del (y)

Finished this one myself earlier in the year and really enjoyed it. I've got another of Mike's sculpts lined up for when I've finished the bison hunt vignette. . . .

    Cheers

It's the one I got from you. Need to darken everything a bit more and develop some highlights on the edges..... rolling out the Raw Umber and Naples Yellow.
Used Transparent Maroon on the face instead of usual Madder Brown looks ok in the photo but a bit too rosy cheeked for my taste so will be over painting here and there.
Good thing is the way Mikes done the eyes, sort of squinting so just a careful dot of off white into the slit and job done ....... talking about jobs when was the last time anyone saw white dog crap? ...........:D;)

Derek - beautiful start and would be very pleased with myself if that was the state of one of my finished projects.

    Regards,

Cheers. With a buff coat and light leather boots (both different ratios of Tit white, Raw umber and Nap yellow) just get a nice flat finish and use the same colours to ger lights and shades. then thin wash of RU dotted around the skirt of the jerkin and let dry to give oil type stains..... thats the plan anyway ;)
