Hi all! Here's what I've been working on lately. It's the basework for Castles Partners Landsknecht vignette.
Both figures are completely painted except for the hands (I hate painting hands). Next week I'll post a finished piece and a wee article on the pleasures and trials and tribulation of painting the pair.

Base is a cracking bit of work in oak and black footing from Pete Watson.
Much of groundwork, cape, cap and sword is cast onto the supplied base, I'll comment on this.
Everything else including the German drinking horn built up with putty and a variety of tufts, moss etc.

Working on this pair myself at the moment - challenging to say the least, aren't they ? I guess
you 'buried' the supplied base in the groundwork. Clever stuff, Del ......looks damn good ( I had
an idiotic touch of visual dyslexia for the briefest of moments when I thought the drinking horn
was a dismembered leg. Must be losing the marbles........should have gone to Specsavers.......eh?).
Looking forward to seeing everything finished and in place.

Me,too, Mike ! I actually thought, " Why would a Landsknecht have a prosthetic leg?" Great work, Del,...looking forward to seeing the figures.
