    Hi everyone

Just had to share this from Social media

From a post by EDUARDO FERNANDEZ RODRIGUEZ

Here's is the text from Eduardo

"After a lot of work, time and effort ... it is here !!!

More than half a year ago the boss and I began to talk about something that we were both very excited about, bringing out a brand of historical figures of our own and today we see the first of many in the light.

We think that although there are many brands that make good figures, we could touch this theme by giving it another air, making figures that have not been seen yet and that tell us a story.

I am very proud of what the team we have formed are doing (Jesús G. Ganaza, Roberta Fontana, Fernando Vallejo...) and I hope you like it.

This first bust represents a New Zealand soldier in North Africa during WWII.

Our protagonist carries a cub from “Desert Fox”, which gives the scene its name ”, and winks at the nickname of Rommel.

It is a 1:10 scale bust made of high quality resin, the lace is perfect and the modeling is really very good.

This is the first of my children and of course ... Box art .... All with new AK Interactive acrilics colors. I had to do it.

I hope you like it because also the price is really competitive."

Nice release, apart from the strange shape of the helmet, which I, and others, have alluded to on FB..!(y)

That's a great piece of work. I would prefer it without the Fennec Fox, it's a bit Walt Disney for me, so perhaps they'll include a second plain ammo pouch as an alternative.

Good point there Steve , I feel the rifle strap is a bit too thick ...?

Still a good piece and a good first release

Great promise but I agree about the helmet and the rifle sling. Also the haversack has no means of support as the shoulder straps are completely missing. It seems the designer doesn’t really understand from British webbing went together. Such a shame that such a promising figure should be spoilt by lack of attention to detail.

    Hi folks

Eduardo advises it can be ordered from the 25th on the ak interactive website. The first 20 people will have the three main paint colours ( AK ) of the uniform as a gift

I think with some additional research and double checking of details, this could have been an exceptional bust. There are several glaring issues, highlighted here, which could have been dealt with at master stage. I agree with the rifle sling being too thick, but also the point at which it attaches is too far forward according to contemporary photos, which clearly show it attached to the band, halfway down the rifle. Much as I admire the painting, there would be too much remedial work for me to contemplate purchase(y) rifle.jpg

Very nicely done, but the rifle strap is inaccurate both in thickness and method of attachment.

Love the bust. That sling needs to get the order of the boot. Hooray for epoxy putty. And a helmet cover as per the pic will hide the shape issues.
Love the fox. Kind of reminds me of the legion dude with the small pup/dog.

That's an outstanding bust. Definitely going straight to my wish list.
I do wish somebody would bring out a bust of an Australian Commando in the Pacific theatre during world war 2.

Okay it needs a little tweaking to make it 100% accurate but the casting and build quality look excellent, the subject and the little story that it gives us is very pleasing and the box presentation and painting guide really put this bust out there as fantastic release, the top notch painting is what we expect from Eduardo so well done to all involved and I for one will be looking forward to future releases.

Lovely and imaginative release. I guess that absent the NZ shoulder flash he could just as easily be any 8th Army soldier?

I usually don't get involved in "I wish someone would bring out a (insert pet subject of choice)" discussions because it's impossible to please everyone all the time, plus there's so much great stuff constantly coming our way that it's sometimes hard to keep up with all the new releases anyway. I also think it can come across as a tad ungrateful: A company proudly announces the arrival of its new "baby", and guys respond with "Well yeah it's nice, but how about an (XYZ)".

On this occasion however, yes - I concur! That would be a cool release - especially if he were armed with an Owen gun for an extra element of quintessentail "Aussieness".
