A lovely sculpt from Metal Modelles, beautifully done too.
There is some great detail on this and look great with careful painting.

Always good to see a Napoleonic Cuirassier - they are essential to any collection - and a Metale Modeles
version is a particular bonus. Nice....

Someone once told me that newly assigned Cuirassier Officers were given three horses, three willing girls,
three bottles of champagne, and three hours to drink the wine, see to the girls, and ride three times around
a three mile course.........I rather think the wisest would have saved the 'shampoo' till last, if only too avoid
    unfortunate mistakes.... Eh ?

Very nice Bob! I have always liked the combination of the dark blue and 'lies de vin' facings of this regiment. Regards Pete

Beautifully done. Is the horsehair mane sculpted on the helmet or is it a separate piece?

    Cheers Mike, thankyou very much.

Jaybo, the head is separate piece and the horsehair mane is attached to the helmet. It is a lovely fit and well sculpted. Hope that helps.

Much of pF seems to be concerned with busts (ooh, Matron!) but it’s good to know I’m not the only one still doing 54mm Napoleonics. This is a cracking figure, beautifully finished and a credit to you, Bob.

    Jeff,
I do prefer the 54mm from Metal Modelles and my eyes do stain even with a Optivisor but thats my choice. 99% of my painted figures have two legs.
Thank you for the very kind comment, its very much appreciated.
    Regards and stay safe

The Eyes have it! I have to use an Optivisor for pretty much all modelling and painting nowadays. I can't believe that I used to be able to do this with the naked eye. I acquired a pair of magnifying spectacles quite recently and prefer them to the Optivisor with its headband; they're just a pair of specs which you can wip on and off.

Your cuirassier looks fantastic. It's yet another MM must have. I wonder if we shall ever see a companion figure, unarmoured and in stable dress. Same idea as the Troop54 figure in 75mm, I think I can see him in the background of your last picture. And here's another one:
