Very nice indeed, Brian. Like the subtle shading & blending on his jacket & leather trousers.

    Hi Brian

That's a nice looking bit of painting

Do like your fleshtones and the clothing

Is this based on an actual pilot ...think there was a bust version ?

    Thanks for sharing

    Happy benchtime

    Stay safe

Nap, I think it is based on Josef Mai and Stormtroopers did a large bust of him as well.

Brian, nice paint job! I think I read that this figure is larger than 54mm so I have put off buying him for display next to a 1/32 scale aircraft. Having never seen the figure, I don't know! Can you comment on the scale? Thank you!

I didn't think it was anything but a 54mm when i bought him,but i've measured him from head to foot and he's just about 60 mm,which syrprised me.

Thanks Brian...I'm afraid he might look too big next to a 54mm Albatros!

I bought this same figure with the intention of posing it next to my WNW 1/32 Alb DV and it is way too big for 1/32 (54mm). When compared to the likes of 1/32 WW1 pilot figs by 'Model Cellar', 'Kellerkind' and 'Wings' etc, it is (much) bigger and in scale would equate to a chap about 7' tall. It is more like a 60-65mm piece actually.

As a stand alone figure don't get me wrong it is superb and will be delight to paint but posed next to a 1/32 plastic WW1 kit by WNW or Roden etc. and it will stand out immediately.
