Love it, would also like to purchase a copy of this one as it is so unusual and much closer to real life.

Thanks! Indeed, the kawa-tsuzumi haramaki cuirass is very rare in historical films and reconstructions, and in miniature it is not found at all. However, historians believe that this may have been the most numerous type of armor in the foot samurai of the 14th century. I will show you photos of the finished copies as soon as they are ready.

Love your new series of samurai figures.
However, as someone who has practiced martial arts for 20+ years, this figure looks like someone swinging a bat, not a sword.
The stance of the figure would be greatly improved if the front foot were rotated by 90 degrees & pointed toward the opponent.

There are many places on the internet you can see correct classical japanese sword techniques & stances.
For instance at some where like http://oakvillekenjutsu.3design-dlo.com/. Check out the 'In No Kamae' stance in particular.

    Best wishes ... Ian S

Thank you for your opinion! If that's what you think, then I've done what I wanted to do. I wanted to make a young samurai from a poor family who was given a huge sword. He doesn't have enough combat experience yet, only the determination to prove himself. His posture is uncertain, his expression both fearful and determined. I imagined what a man might feel when he saw it before him

You are very well versed in the history of japanese arms and armour.I am very happy you decided to go public with your work.I have the feeling you are going to be hugely successful among the ranks of samurai fan modellers such as myself and other esteemed members of PF.I await with anticipation the Sengoku Bushi with his O-zutsu.

Any idea of retail price and how to order?
  9. Vladimir Active Member

The price for all my samurai 90 mm 30 euros. You can order from me. Only the boxes for packing the samurai are not ready yet. The quarantine prevented us from ordering them on time
