The shape of the beret looks good to me Kev, don't forget to include creases above the badge as in Fred Casey's photo, and of course the leather band/piping around the edge of the beret, not sure about keeping the tie though?

This thread is getting really interesting now Kev - I agree with Henk re. the overalls vs. jump smock, & what you’ve done with the beret looks excellent so far. All that’s needed to complete it is a more pronounced sweatband & the distinctive shape of the sewn-on SAS beret badge.
    Super job, more please!

    Looks fantastic my friend!
If i may suggest, the mustach looks a little wide on the fire compare to the first picture, is that intended to make it look like the chap on that pic or that is for jiust reference?

    Hi Daniel

Ahah !! ...I see what you mean .....the book picture what started off me thinking about the beret ......but yes your right if I was depicting Gentleman Jim , it needs thinning .....

Would appreciate thoughts is anyone thinks the sculpt is similar enough to the book picture ?

Will be sorting the clothing out today ...hopefully!

    Hi folks

Bit of an update ....spent a couple of hours faffing around using magi sculpt to create the new collar ....just woukd go in right ...so out came the Milliput ....hardly ever used it for actual sculpting but pleasantly surprised .....I can see why Valiant likes it

Big learning curve ...but here's where I am atm ...shiny as I used Vaseline to shape it smoother ...

Need to put it aside now to fully harden off before any more work ..once the battle dress is sorted I will start on the beret
