Hi Paul, I have the Zulu book by Ian Knight and I'm trying to follow it closely, I've already added a patch to the right knee (not painted yet) and I was thinking about adding the cowhide sleeve to the Henry Martini, most difficult bit for me now is getting the tunic the right worn look to it, still a way to go with this one,
    Thanks for your comments.
    Cheers

When I did the Rorkes Drift dio from Gordon I mixed a bright red with light rust to get a terracotta mix which was lightened/shadowed for the uniform folds.

    Hi Jim,
Nice to see this one moving on and promoted to the painting stage, looking forward to the progress. I like the facial tones mate really does make Carl's facial features and expression pop.

That's better with the pics up the right way eh (y)
Thanks Richie, I know this is your strong period of interest so I really appreciate the comments mate, I painted the tunic yesterday and now waiting for it to dry so I can add some weathering to tone it all down a bit, will post it up on here to see what you think.
    Stay safe
