    Hello Folks
Sculpted for me by Carl Reid is this 75mm diorama inspired by the painting by Alfonse Lalauze 'Alarm in a French Light Cavalry Bivouac 1812'
It depicts a group of French hussar officers being alerted by a mounted trooper.

    Price is £130.00
    Free worldwide shipping.

To order please contact me on gordonmi@hotmail.com and I will invoice you as soon as a set is available.

Thanks to Paul Casson for sending me the print some time ago which spurred the project.

    Cheers

    Gordon

    Hi Gordon,
Another great set from your stable. Shouldn't the title be "ils sont là-bas monsieur";)

Great piece, and the divergence from the source print improve the dynamics (y)

(though I must admit that I think the 3rd officer in the background actually detracts: in the original print he serves a purpose in calling the troops out, I feel that here he adds little).

I think it's a bit pity that the officer's pose in front has been changed compared to the picture.

Now he looks at the rider - whoose gesture now points to nothing ...

I think the eye contact improves it... just an opinion :)

No, he would have said "Ils sont la, mon colonel!" or "...mon capitaine", not "...monsieur" for that was the correct form of adress.
