The face does bear a remarkable resemblance to Sheffield’s favourite son.

Great figure but next time please consider saving the photos to the thread as thumbnails, because these full-sized ones take a long time to load.

Good figure and nice likeness of Sean Bean as Sharpe.

Just a couple of points which illustrate where fiction seems to diverge from reality.

Strange to see the lacing and buttons going round the back: Europa Militaria No5 and Osprey Warrior 47 shows such a tunic (without the buttons), now in the Royal Greenjacket's Museum, but describes it as atypical... looks like this is an affectation also shared by the fictional Sharpe (but with added button-bling).

Sword-wise there could be the option of a curved sabre as generally worn by RR/Light/Flank officers: it seems that the 1803 pattern was common. The Sharpe books/TV seem to differ, but in the 'Sharpe's Rifles' book his original sword is broken by Col. Leroux and he's then given a modified (straight) cavalry sword by Sgt. Harper: he also ends up with Leroux's Klingenthal straight sword (but later chucks it in the river). So both would be straight, accurate with the book/TV and as per the DVD cover but again, atypical historically.

Nevertheless, a nice figure and good likeness of Bean which fulfils its stated aim of representing the fictional Sharpe.

Thanks for your feedback. We wanted to make a personalized Sharpe from the movie. Therefore, the figure does not fully correspond to the historical one. The prototype was this photo.

Certainly can't mistake who the sculpt represents ...very close to the picture

I have changed pics to thumbnails but obviously if you want bigger images click on them

Be good to see a painted version when possible

    Thanks for sharing
