    Hello folks,
Here is another conversion from a spare figure i had from Front Rank ( AWI series).
I am converting this chap to a grenadier officer, the reason/s for the choice on this Regiment is their color combination as well as the rather interesting button arrangement on the double vertical pockets on the ever Fancy French uniforms .
This regiment had white coats with red turndown collar, vest and cuffs, troussers were white.
The buttons were pewter and false silver /white lace on their hats, grenadiers wore bear fur hats.
    Cheers! 20191205_234542.jpg 20191205_104256.jpg 20191205_231844.jpg 20191205_231908.jpg 20191205_232245.jpg 20191205_232256.jpg

    Hi Daniel

Again a fine conversion work on this , like the way you can see the potential in a donor figure

Where is the reference from ?

Primed up the piece looks so right

    Bring on the colour !!

    Happy benchtime

PS Thought perhaps there might be a Bourbon biscuit as well ...LOL

I have finished the folds on the coat tails.
Primed and layed the base red color for the vesr using the following mix:
Base: vallejo scarlet + dab of scale 75 forest green.
Lights, base plus more scarlet, last lights i've added fluorescent red ( vallejo)
    Shadows, base plus black.
As for the cuffs and collar i am using Citadel new contrast as a base. 20191206_121233.jpg 20191206_140820.jpg 20191206_131945.jpg

Made good progress on this chap, finished the white coat and the red on the vest and cuffs, the bearfur hat and modified the fusil to a model 1728 and finished it. 20200109_180031.jpg 20200109_180055.jpg
