Good day friends! Not quite an ordinary release for us. The figure was probably molded more than a year ago, and everything was waiting in the wings. Bavarian infantry drummer examines uniform damage after a battle. A hole on the sleeve, shoulder straps torn off ... The pose is not ordinary, but we wanted to experiment. Perhaps in the future, in addition to combat poses, which will not be applicable, we will make the company this brave guy)

Two heads are included - bandaged and in a helmet.

    Hi there

Thanks for posting this ..a good subject and certainly a different style ...like the idea

Think it would also work with his am in a sling

The figure looks well sculpted with some nice details , good to have the 2 head option as well

Perhaps a cavalryman on the ground holding his wounded leg, wrapped in bandages ...maybe add the horse looking at him ...just an idea !!!

Good to see a Altores release

Altores - always so good at new ideas and figures.
The pose is a difficult one and not obvious without the title or explanation, but sometimes that is just what you need :) Make the viewer work a little bit so that when they realise what is going on there is an 'ahhhhhh' moment. Once they've realised what the figure is doing it encourages them to look closer and enjoy the figure.
Personally it's a must have for me (y)
(If I was adding an extra figure I'd make it a Sgt. or similar pointing out the tear or smiling conspiratorially at his juniors discomfit adding to the sense of life and surviving another day)

Cheers Altores - keep them coming

Really interesting. I like the idea of two heads (always better than one, eh?) but I’d go for the helmeted version which makes the Bavarian infantry so different.

This is a must get for me. I simply love the Bavarian uniforms of the Napoleonic era. The helmet is very well sculpted. If only they had a direct order website. These figures are not easy to obtain. Now we need a mounted Bavarian Chevaux-leger.

My only criticism is that the drum shell should have the Royal Cipher embossed on it. But I'm still going to get it.

I’m also in the USA and I’ve started to order from www.elgrecominiatures.co.uk . I was surprised by the low cost of both the models and shipping. The £ is much weaker than when I started the hobby. They also don’t over charge for shipping. For example the cost to ship two 75mm resin models was only £5. Which I didn’t even end up paying because I used rewards points.

A great figure, nicely sculpted, and what strikes me from the picture of the re-enactors is how their crossbelts look--- not parade -ground inspection white, but a satisfyingly worn appearance.
