Beautiful scene. The woman’s dress is especially good. Although it’s seems like it would be a challenge for a painter to make her face pretty. The box artist missed the mark a little.

i don't see any problem with the woman's face ... she looks totally normal ! just try to paint "El Viejo Dragon'S" Athena ... now you'll see a weird woman face !

Why does the URL for this stretch halfway down my screen? Is it just my PC??? Nice figs, though.

Nice little scene and endless colour options for the painter, I must say its great to see medievals and ancients getting a turn.

Interesting and novel: I like the subdued colours.

Could this become a series to rival the 'Dog's Life' ones?

BTW: I must admit that I was a bit dubious about medieval engagement rings but it seems that, yes, they used them and that simply giving a ring then having sex created a marriage with any church ceremony/blessing being an adjunct. With that in mind, I hope this guy isn't trying it on in the way warned by the English church in 1217–19 that "...no man should “place a ring of reeds or another material, vile or precious, on a young woman’s hands in jest, so that he might more easily fornicate with them..." (this article is interesting)

Let's assume his intentions are honest, but how did he manage to give her a ring with a halberd in one hand and a sword in another? Was he like "Darling, can you please hold my stuff for a sec, I have something nice for you"? Or did he produce the sword after he gave her the ring to make his proposal more persuasive? Separately these are nice figures, but they do not work as a couple for me.
