Thanks Neal ..not got back to it for a couple of days..been putting some of Andy Cairns pieces together ( Pluck Yew and Nightingale - Violinist ) ready to join the ever lengthening line to the bench !!!

The uniform colour is just Luftwaffe blue from Vallejo ..really good base colour ...will look slightly different when done ...going to do the cap different shade as well

    Stand by!!!

    Hi Guysc

Not had chance to do much benchtime recently but this has had done details finished on him ...namely the Marksmanship lanyard and the breast eagle , using these and others in this thread for reference

...oh and lots of holding my breath ..and muttering !!

Done the basic " KRETA " lettering ...will be working on that later all being well ...after family stuff !!!

Spot on there Kev - the Luft marksmanship lanyard looks like it was challenging to paint but you pulled it off magnificently!

Breast eagle looks just like the real deal too - excellent painting

    Hi Guys

After a long session ..and lots of holding breath and swearing ...the cuff bands are finished ...

The top band KRETA was a pain , yellow on white not the best combination ! ....shows darker in ref picture as yellow does in era pictures

...believe me the letters are there and the other details at the end !

    Que iffyvision pics

Next in line is the collar and epaulettes details then the cap

    Thank you Santiago

I have slightly darkened the KRETA lettering now ..looks better !

The backing ranged from pure white to a gray white ...that's what I went for!

    Thanks for looking in

Excellent work Kev - the combination of blue-grey with yellow insignia really makes this bust pop, & the decorations are the icing on the cake.

    Hi Guys

Not much benchtime due to Bugle Call but tightened up decorations and cuff bands together with the eagles ...doesn't look much difference but they have been " brushed" ..believe me!!
