I have finally completed this. I wasn't sure how to display Ensign & Colour. At 200mm (1/9) it is a large figure and with the ensign being carried or in the flourish would take up a lot of space. In the end I opted for this:

    Happy modelling!

Fantastic figure. Any idea what it would cost to commission someone to do one of these for me please?. I have neither the skill or patience to contemplate attempting a model.

I think the basic figure costs c. £65 and there would then be the painter's fee.

    Hi Mike

Must have missed this originally !

Certainly a large piece and very imposing

Nicely painted ..shame the ensign couldn't have the colour on his shoulder with sword sheathed

But displayed like this certainly shows the details off on the colour

    Thanks for sharing

    Happy benchtime

The problems with a folded Colour, which I have been working on, are two fold. Firstly the Colour is not as simple as many others in that there are 42 Battle Honours on it, each in a scroll. Painting these honours on a folded Colour would be tricky at the very least. Secondly, trying to fold the Colour once the master had been cast is proving difficult because even thin resin does not fold easily. A compromise would be to have the Colour displayed as on the slow march past:

This of course would take up a fair space, as would having the Colour with its base in its belt:
