Hi Guys,

Pretty much done on the sculpting of this one, 1/9 scale, in Miliput and Duro. Just the detailing on the collar tabs and a final cleanup to be done, prior to paint. Sword hilt made from plastic rod, strip and Miliput, with hilt bound in masking tape, to replicate the leather binding.

Many of the contemporary pics show them carrying both rifles and swords, although whilst researching this, there were units armed only with swords. These units suffered huge casualties when assaulting Japanese machine guns.

Wonder how long it took the commanders to work out the reason why
