Its been awhile since I've been on the forums and painting miniatures, life gets in the way sometimes. I'm back at it now, got a new bench setup and trying some new techniques. Here are 3 I just finished in the last couple of months all based in black and painted in oils.

    Cheers,

    Ray

    Hi Ray

Nice to have you back with us on PF and glad you've got a new bench set up ....certainly been busy and they look good as well

How did you find priming in black or is that what you usually do ?

Look forward to seeing more from your bench

    Happy benchtime

Nice finishes, Ray! Are those in smaller scale, like 1/72?

    Prost!

    I like your work.
You have an original style, a bit of ‘Je ne sais quoi’, it’s good.
    Hope you keep painting.

Thanks its something I'm trying with oils, I used to base coat in acrylics highlight and shade with oils, I tried all acrylics before. Just coming back after a couple of years and now painted these figures strictly in oils, with a black base coat. Takes longer for drying so usually got a couple of figures going at the same time lol. I took the pics with my iPhone and I find the highlights pop more, the highlights are more muted when looked at with the eye.
