    Hi everyone

Picked this up from flea bay for a bargain price ...a Hawk Miniatures bust of Lanoe Hawker who lost his life in air combat with the Red Baron

Depicted in balaclava and warm flying clothing

Originally the goggles were under the balaclava but I fancied having them outside on the forehead ....

This was the original painted by Paul Blaber as box art

Using these figures and picture as references

Original picture of Hawker wearing the same clothing

Using lead wire ,magisculpt and patience this is how it looks now

    Stay tuned

Good start, Kev - personally, I would indent the goggle straps into the balaclava - I cant imagine them riding on top of the creases....(y)

Looking at a enlarged picture , it might be be but it looks like a folded up peak at the balaclava front ...bit like a beanie cap peak .....might add that down ...mmmmmm

I think the balaclava has ribbing around the forehead area to give it some grip and stop it swivelling around and blinding the wearer!(y)

I have added rubbing around the edge where it meets the face , doesn't really show well

As suggested by Valiant ...the strap pushes into the balaclava now ....all primed up the balaclava is currently a base cost of dark blue ....but not too sure wether it looks "right"

    Thanks for looking in

    Hi Guys

Bit of a piccy update ....balaclava done ...texture added as its smooth originally , thinking its possible knitted material ...still not sure ref the colour ....

    Lens added with Krystel Klear

Working on finishing the goggles ....face just been given a wash of dark flesh ...still to get working on the flesh

Gave him a warm white jumper and a scarf which shows at the top ,

    Thanks for looking in

Liking the way this one's shaping up Kev. (y)
Look forward to seeing him finished. Are you going for a pre-flight look or the full covered in oil on the face look? (which I like the idea of personally)
    Cheers
