Everything depends on what you want to make.
    You can try Smooth-Cast 305.

Well, where are you located? What we suggest may or may not be as readily available in some areas as they are to each of us.

I'll second Fantomas on Smooth-Cast 305, and every product made by Smooth-On. They're local here in the Lehigh Valley. Their website is https://www.smooth-on.com/ Most if not all of their casting resins are simple to mix and use, mixing at a 1:1 ratio of resin and catalyst. They have very good mold-making materials, too. I've seen them demonstrated and am starting to use them myself.

    Prost!

I am in Michigan. Being a retired jeweler I have made and cut lots of molds in my life both vulcanized rubber and cold cure. Have some 1/32 scale miniatures that I would like to mold and cast in resin. High detail is important. Oh..and BTW just want to make sure you are not lying to me Baron.:)

A Michigander, eh? A Big 10 rival! Yeah, since you're in the US, I definitely recommend Smooth-On. Shipping shouldn't be an issue, if you buy online. You might also find local retailers or suppliers who carry their products.

We have a "maker's facility" here in Bethlehem, the Fab Lab. It is an open-access facility that helps designers of all levels get exposure to the latest technology. Ours is also affiliated with our local community college. The Fab Lab has facilities for 3D sculpting and printing, CAD and computer-driven metal- and wood-working, a luthier (ie, a stringed instrument workshop) connected with Martin Guitar Co., a sound studio, a graphic studio, and also, a casting studio. It's open to everyone, though there are fees. The casting studio uses primarily Smooth-On products, by choice. I saw demos there, and that's what made up my mind about the product.

    Hope that helps you!

    Prost!
