    Hello all,
About a year or so ago, I was lucky enough to go to SMC at Eindhoven and it changed my modelling totally
I started to do busts, and stand alone figures.
Below is a photo of my years worth of work as far as figures goes, it is a steep Learning curve, but I’m enjoying it every step of the way.

I am no expert in figure modelling and painting and I don’t pretend to be, but the standard can be seen getting better with every figure, so any help and advice would be very much appreciated

    Thank you all in advance

Welcome aboard, Malc. Your figures & busts look pretty good to me too, & it’s nice to see you’re a fan of the English Electric Lightning as well.

Yes, I also make planes and tanks, but the lightning is a favourite

I think busts, But that does depend on the subject.
With aircraft and tanks you are limited to a specific, with busts there is that little bit of lee way, unless it’s a film star or something like that, I like the idea of busts, it gives you a feel of the whole figure without actually being there.

    Malcolm,
I noted that one of your Frightnings displays the tail fin insignia of the Lightning Target Flight at RAF Binbrook before they were scrapped & the airfield given back to Nature - my late Dad was one of the bricklayers who worked on the construction of RAF Binbrook between 1938 & 1941 (he built one of the permanent hangars & the bomb dump), that’s why I have a bit of a soft spot for the Frightning. Used to love watching them climb vertically on reheat when I used to go to the Battle of Britain airshow at RAF Finningley as a kid.
    Cheers, Chris.

Welcome to the Planet, Malcolm! Great collection of busts there, and I like your Lightning, though I'm a fan of the the earlier, twin-engined kind. Just ordered my Tamiya kit, should get it by November. I hope you show us more of your scale models, as well as your figures and busts.

    Prost!
