Completed Young Rommel Bust

    r17c.jpg This is my rendition of Lt. Erwin Rommel after receiving his Blue Max in 1917, after the Battle of Caporetto. This figure is modeled in two-part putty and painted in a combination of acrylics and enamels. I hope I did him justice.

    Thank you very much. I kinda "screwed the pooch" when I tried to post the pictures earlier (operator error), so I didn't finish the description I was going to put with them. He is wearing a M 1915 officer's Klienerrock (undress uniform) for the Wurttembergisches Gebirgsschutzen. The scale of the bust is approximately 200 mm.

    Thank you all for the positive comments. Unfortunately, I just found a solid reference that indicated the buttons should be silver, not gilt, so I'll have to make a quick modification to him.
