    Hi all :)

Had this beauty delivered to me yesterday ( it really has been a great weekend! ) and a big thank you to Stu!! :)

Anyway this is my very first Young piece from the box as it were. Clean-up was a breeze and the fit is awesome ( I managed to chip the back of the helmet but it's tiny ) ...

See http://www.planetfigure.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40003 for Guys great open box review ....

so this is what you get straight from the box ...

This is it in primer ( cheap pound shop stuff, hence the sheen ) ...

After a few hours mucking about with paint...

I airbrushed the basic colours and then worked with hair brushes, usual palette for me ..

    Mahogany Brown as the base
    Sunny Skintone next
    Basic Skin tone to highlight
    Light Flesh to highlight again

Dark prusia Blue and GW Blood Red for effects ...

    A 3 view...

All in all a most impressive sculpt and a superb bit of casting :)

Please feel free to comment, crit or correct

    ;)

You have been a busy boy. Love the face, it really suits the rosey complexion. Looks like he's being at the Vin Blanc. I wouldn't mind doing this myself, other than the daft splinter.

Nice painting. I am trying acrylics (again) for flesh, and can't get nearly this type pf result. Methinks I will be sticking with oils!
I think I would fix the wire on the helmet, its bothered me since I saw the kit released.

Mostly finished around the head, umming and ahing about the texture on the toque ... will probably tone it down, but will wait to see how it balances against the leather and the canvas of the liberated bag .... :)
