Nap, these photos were taken last year at a Light Horse re-enactment to mark the centenary of the start of WW1. Most of the bridle gear and saddle equipment is original and is accurate.

    Carl ,

That is brilliant stuff lots of detailed shots ..any more always welcome

I notice the actual reins are seen in both top and lower cut outs of the bit ..personal choice dependant on horse?

Any suggestions on a uniform colour mix ?

    Thanks again

    Strewth Mark..cobbler

I am going for the floppy hat version

It's a nice kit mate but a lot of prep ...mind you I am replacing all the harness..why because I am stupid!

Also added lots of other details on uniform ..flashes/ badges etc

Hmm! that's disconcerting, about 'Badges and Flashes! Never mind the 'Bridle'. The fact that you had to add them! ??

The trigger clip on the right fastens the rope to the jowl piece.(y)

....looked and looked but couldn't quite sort it out in my head...

I think the other bit if the rein ends unless anyone knows different ...can't see anything like it on the harness!

    Thanks

Hmm! that looks like a 'Bottle opener', for Fosters! quite possibly at the top of the reigns, and close to hand!
