    As luck gave it, a few details about the GI on the Picture above have fallen into my hands ...:

    His name was Elvin Harley, from Kalamazoo, Michigan, and served in the 3rd Armored Division.

    The photo was taken in northeastern France near the Belgian border on February 14, 1945. Unfortunately, I did not find out (yet?) anything about the girl.

    BTW: Elvis served later in the same Division...:
