Started a new bust, this time it's an American WW2 Medic. It's still very much a work in progress and although the head is finished there's still a lot of work to do on the torso, helmet and the dog . Looking at the pics again I might have to decapitate the dog to turn his face more forward looking.:(
Many thanks and all comments and critique most welcome.

    Cheers Ken

Just a lovely figure...my Dad was a medic in WWII.
I'll venture a guess and say this is a Japanese American soldier in Sicily...just a feeling.
    That little Jack is priceless...

Dr Carl, thanks mate for the offer of the saw but no delicate operation needed here, I think the old one two with the axe should do it  :)

Phil, many thanks and you're probably correct on both accounts. However now that you've mentioned it I'll try and find out. (y)
If anyone has seen this pic before and can tell us where it was set would appreciate it. Answers on a post card to...... :)

    Cheers Ken

real nice choice for a bust mate and good job on him so far, I like the interaction between him and the dog, you captured the compassion in his face really well which will carry the story.
