Great handling of colours. The leather jacket has come up really well - would be interested to know what colours/ technique did you use?
    Cheers

Can I just add that on the back of this post I revisited the Tommys War website which I haven't done for quite a while and was extremely impressed with both the way the range is growing and also the thought that had gone into the website. I was viewing on my phone and think it is possibly the best mobile optimised website I have experienced within the hobby. Just wanted to say well done to all involved.
    Cheers

    Hi Mat,

For the jacket, i started with a matt black base coat followed by a burnt umber from Jo Sonja. A mix of burnt sienna and burnt umber was then dry brushed to pick up the highlights. Shadows were created with some prussian blue. highlights were a mix a burnt sienna and yellow orche. I also glazed some reds on select areas. Lastly the jacket was given a quick blast of gloss for the sheen. (the rest of the figure was masked)

This duo is coming together nicely Benjamin.
You have some very good techniques to give the mix of different textiles the correct finishes.
    Nice work, well done.

    Hi Rompy
Love this cracking sculpt and the pose is smashing , I agree Khaki is such funny old colour it weathers fades into such variable colours but I do think you have got it bang to rights .
Love the highlights tones very subtle on the putties just enough , mind you that pose does look like the Mrs when she catches me getting a parcel from the post man lol ,although I must add she does not have a tash
    Cheers Chris

Here's the Sopwith in the early stages of the build.

I will be cutting off the fuselage to keep it within the plinth. Should I trim both the tail fins as well to keep it within the plinth ?

I'd leave the fins as is, and trim back the fuselage so that you still have a bit of overhang on the other side, for visual balance.

Looks great so far by the way.

Calling it done. Never built a plane in my life and taking on the Sopwith with all the rigging was a challenge :) Glad to have tried it. Will be a long time before i build another plane or vehicle :p

Here are some pics. As always comments , critiques welcomed :)
