More progress photos of this commission. I've added most of the groundwork. To remind you this is an homage to a British trench raid in which a Lieutenant was severely wounded but saved by two soldiers. The action, involving the 2/6th Kings Liverpool Rifles, apparently took place during heavy rain, so I've been a bit liberal with the acrylic water. I considered trying to show actual rainfall landing on the water, but thought if I messed about with the groundwork too much it might detract from the three figures.

I need to add a bayonet and a rifle sling to the rifle and some fingers and thumbs to hands. Also need to correct the outward lean of the left figure. The lean occurred as all three figures dried and set up on the ground work. I had all three tied together to force them centrally, but it didn't quite get the left figure where I wanted him.

    All the best,
    Dan

    Nice work Dan.
If I may: I should press all the foot's more into the mud. With this heavy mud they gonna go all into it.

Yes you may, Marc. Good idea! I found that the combination of the 2 part resin, the grey pumice paste and acrylic water makes it a difficult proposition to get the figures where you want them.

    All the best,
    Dan
