    Hi,

I've not been on for a while and thought I would show you some in progress photos of my latest completed bust, the Dragon Lord. Hope you like it.

    Hi John ,

Nice to see this bust and as a WIP post as well , not been too sure about it but you have done a really nice job on them both , like the dragon and the way that has been delat with ..nice tones .

    Oils or nice acrylics ;)

The flesh is subtle and I do like the way you have done the hair .

If anything I personally would put a bit more highs on the coat together with some deeper shadows at the lower edge ..only my preference ..more the way I paint nowadays !!!

How did it go together espcially the dragon ?

    Thanks for sharing

Thanks Kevin. The parts fit together beautifully. And there are a lot of parts to this bust. I painted using both acrylics and oils. The dragon was undercoated in acrylics and given several oil washes in a darker green. I agree about the highlights and shadows and will be returning to it to make some adjustments. Thanks for your comments.
