yes ... strange but I did a British soldier ...

it was a long time that I wanted to do something different as subject but also as technical approach to modelling.

subject is a flag bearer of the 42nd scottish rgt at Waterloo....

I started sculpting the figure around a copper pin. Head was chosen into the Figurinitaly range of spare heads

for this figure I used APOXY putty. the flag is a mix of apoxy and duro flattened and then attached to a copper rod

second step was to sculpt the trousers and, when dry I passed to the jacket. to make the sword belt I get a lead foil cutted

feathers on the busby were sculpted as second step after the busby himself in many different steps working the feathers on a semi dry putty

the finished assembled figure ready for the primer
