I want to show you my finished version from Young Stromtrooper Bust. In my eyes the soldier on the original picture looks desperate and tired. So I try to paint him in such a way.

At the moment I try to find a good base. Not to understand, I can not decide what base looks right under that bust. But I will find one.

Hope you like my version of the bust. Critics and comments are welcome

Very nice Ulrich. It looks like you succeeded in what you set out to achieve, the red rimmed eyes with the dark patches underneath are particularly good.

Thanks a lot for your comments. Much appreciated :D

@ Marc: I have made the pictures on our last workshop here and we had later a discussion about "Photo on monitor" and "reality". I have seen my pics now on three different monitors and every time it looks a little bit different. The best way is to see a figure in flesh. The meaning on the workshop was that that photos were near the reality, but only near by

If you mean that his face looks very pale, attaches two pics from where I started. And at least I want to show a little bit more "pale" as usual, because I think he must look so

    Ulrich,
This face looks "overpainted". Then I like the finished one more.
I know the problems of the monitor's.
Are you going to Euro, and are show it there?

Ulrich, I have the Andrea stormtrooper bust somewhere on my very crowded WB and I am trying to achieve the same effect with the skin tones, you have given me something to work with. Great job over all.

@ Marc: No chance with the Euro. I am on holidays with my wife near the netherlands

@ Matthew: Thank you very much. It was a hard fight to get the right skin colours
