    Hi Guys,

Some progress pics of my latest bust, depicting the above. This was one of 5 battalions raised across Staffordshire and later went on to become 1st Batallion, North Staffs Regt.

The head is from Ross's (MMM) box of bits and the rest is made from Milliput, with details in Duro and fusewire (the knots and the shoulder twists!). There are pickers and chain to be added, again from fusewire, but I will add those once this has been drilled to fit on its base. The piping is made from plastic rod, buttons from pins.

Probably not the most colourful of units, a stone grey with black piping, but Im looking forward to painting this one up as a companion to my Artists Rifles bust.

    Thanks for looking in,

    Steve

Ive got boxes of different sized ones, but usually get them from Dunelm, Hobbycraft, Knitting/sewing shops, etc. One box lasts years!(y)

    Steve,
    Excellent Bloody Excellent.
You should start producing these busts 1/10 - 1/9. of these Volunteer Battalions Commercially .
You would just need to send them to me in the post with an invoice, wouldnt need to see them.

    What's the book please Steve?
It was a sad day for me when our local drill hall was demolished, however it confirmed it for my wife that she'd married some kind of weirdo.
