    Hi guys

I picked up this limited edition cold cast bronze statuette over the weekend. It depicts an Australian SAS operator in Afghanistan circa 2009.

I've started laying in the base colours for the uniform. This is likely to be a lengthy project so I thought I'd share a few early pics before I tackle the camouflage patterns and the weathering. As always, I welcome your comments.

A fine piece for a cold cast bronze Tony.
With some very good detail here I'm sure you will turn him into a masterpiece

Great subject Tony, looking forward to this. I've been thinking of having another crack at one of these big boys, maybe the AIF Artilleryman

Well dang me Bro, where'd ya find this one and are there more to be had?? Maybe a set as well, as in, he's got a team mate??? I like the detail on this figure and you know I'm all about using large scale figs for a story line.

Yes, I like the base tones already, got this one bookmarked to the end. Looking forward to the process.

    Cheers, Ski.

Thanks Alan. I hear you mate. It's a lot of work but I agree it's necessary to get the right finish and make the camouflage pattern look right.

Another weekend of base coating, shading and highlighting this awesome figure. After consulting with Alan Mackie I've made a few adjustments to the uniform base colour ahead of starting the multicam pattern. Long way to go, but it's a start.

Hey Bro, not baggin on ya, but can ya use a better backdrop? I'm not seeing the subtleties of the paint work. I just don't want to miss the details of this project, I learn as I watch;)

    Hi guys

It's been a long time since I posted any progress pics on here. Been suffering some mojo issues for several months. I had a long weekend of painting with my mates and here is the latest WIP.
