I'm out of my confort zone. I don't use to paint napoleonics but this bust made me fall in love at first sight. I bought it in a constest and every euro i paid for it is well spent. Really fine casting. My first, and not my last Nuts Planet stuff. Three lines of mold eliminated, a bit of putty between an arm and the body, and added two earrings (thanks to the planeteers to answer my thread about them)
Started with the face, as is usual for me. Nothing is finished, but very advanced.

This doesn't look like someone is out of their comfort zone, more like right at home instead, fab work!

    Thanx friends.
Of course Nap. All is painted with acrylics, brand Vallejo. I used as base a new mix, of flat earth and brown sand, in the same quantity, and a bit of of hull red.
To lighting, added golden flesh first (two lights) and before light flesh (two lights more).
With shadows, more hull red, till pure hull red for profound shadows and profiled.
Before, tones with glazes of brown red at nose, flat red at cheekbones and the point of the nose, real purple for the hole between the eyes and the hair (i don't know the word in english, sorry) and oxford blue between the beard and the flesh.
I've got the palet with the lights and shadows at home, for retouches. If you want i can put a photo tonight.

Thanks for your very kind lines. My "safe zone" are leathers and metals. With napoleonics i'm very lost cause i don't know the regiments, colours of the uniforms, ranks... so i hope obtain a good result after all the information and researching, but i can't assure
