I actually finished this guy a couple of weeks ago, but I just today got around to completing the groundwork. This is the Mercury Models kit in 75 mm and all painted up in acrylics.

Nice work Joe! Figure is painted very nicely and I really like the freehand shield work.

    Well done,

I agree with all that have already been said.

I like very much the Chain-mail. I don't like very much those that are very bright that seems to be done in stainless steel.

    Congratulations.(y)

Thank you Ken! The shield was actually kinda fun. I drew the pattern with a pencil then filled in with yellow followed by the green. Just takes a lot of passes in order to get opacity and a clean, even look:eek:!

Gracias Eduardo! It was my intent to keep the colors toned down and more natural looking. In some cases I added a touch of grey in the mix. Some of the Vallejo metallics are a bit grainy, so I'm searching for paint that has a more realistic metal sheen. Thanks again.

    Ahh, you noticed!

I came across pics of dagger sheaths with engraving and in some cases, patterns simply scratched in. The sheath would of been plain looking so I just painted on a few lines. Thanks for checking him out and commenting Adrian.
