    Its Trigger time ,

Announced recently here and in social media was a release from Nuts Planet in their Trigger range , a post http://www.planetfigure.com/threads/new-release-of-february-from-trigger.83339/

    0.jpg

Still the streets are a toxic filled and dangerous place with well armed freedom fighters lurking around every wall, using all and anything as cover , looking around with suspicion , unsure whats round the next corner ......will the reactions be quick enough to survive another hour even a minute perhaps ???...or maybe it will all end in a inferno of explosives ...

That is what we have in this release a street fighter , armed with a rocket launcher , RPG 7 in style and in ammunition ..the rocket/grenade packed full of lethal explosive matter , accurate and very dangerous ..sometimes no time other than to get one shot off and then melt away into the street debris to reload with the ammunition carried on his back ......

What are we looking at here :

    Title: Rocket Launcher Gunner

    Reference: T75014

    Scale: 75mm ( 1/24th)

    Material: Gray Resin

    No of parts: 13

Sculptor ( Figure) : Joo Heum Yoon

Sculptor ( Basework ) Ki Yeol Yoon

Box Artwork : Ki Yeol Yoon

As with previous releases the parts are in the distinctive blue box with colour pictures on the top and side exhibiting the skill of the box art painter with ease.

Parts are surrounded by foam pieces with the smaller parts being held in a plastic bag.

One thing to note is that the RPG is carefully taped to the underside of the back wall of the base ....avoiding any potential damage.....nice to see this happen.

    Nuts RPG 005.jpg

Parts consist of main figure , 2 arms , back pack , RPG , sight , wheelie bin base , cover , 2 wheels , drain pipe , base and a wall

Nuts RPG 004.jpg Nuts RPG 003.jpg Nuts RPG 006.jpg

    Prep

Main Figure...Fine casting line to remove from left leg side , , 2 casting remnants from under feet

Arms....Remove casting plug from each upper and casting line from left arm and fit to torso

Back Pack...Take away small casting excess from lower edge

RPG/Sight...Remove weapon from former and fit sight in place ( you will need to open the position up slightly on the weapon)

Wheelie bin...Level off lower edge and after removing small excess resin fit top and wheels in place

Drain Pipe...Small piece of resin from lower end to remove and sand away and fit to wall

Back wall and base piece...Sand small excess resin away and fit together

Let us look at the parts now

    Main Figure

Consisting of the full body less arms or gunner is wearing his hood up pulled close to the face hiding his image against the aliens , showing nice folds and a small detail at the front of an area where you could paint a badge on .
the face is looking slightly down and very apprehensive , as the hood in on getting to the eyes will take care , nice features though the nose slightly raised and mouth clamped shut .

Around his neck we have a breathing apparatus ...so vital against the toxic air that could surround him without warning , nice details here , sitting on the upper body , just below his neck.

His clothing consists of another hooded garment well folded and laying around the body nicely , the folds on the under jumper are naturally and not overworked, over this we have a jacket , pockets on each side , worn open , buttons showing , underneath the lower edges we have some cannisters ..perhaps smoke grenades or hi explosive maybe ...either way nice clean surfaces for lettering etc .

Nuts RPG 008.jpg Nuts RPG 012.jpg Nuts RPG 013.jpg Nuts RPG 007.jpg Nuts RPG 014.jpg

On his back we have the backboard of the ammunition carrier itself with a sharply cast depth at the sides , in the middle there is a cut out ready to take the actual ammunition.

There is really good strap work here pulling on the shoulder and fitting to the lower part of the backboard , good undercuts and sharp work on the buckles and " D" rings ...all adding more interest to the model .

    Arms

These are located easily in the torso by a well designed cut out , minimal filler will be needed , both arms show really well done folds and cuff details , the hand is present on the left , with nice finger work , the elbows have an additional padding on them , the right cuff is ready to take the hand which is cast on the actual weapon itself .

    Nuts RPG 015.jpg

    RPG/Sight

A very good sculpt of this well known weapon , accurate in style and shaping with a projectile loaded in already , the trigger area has the hand holding on the forefinger ready to pull as soon as he has aimed the RPG .
    Nuts RPG 017.jpg
The sight will need to be fitted , its a good representation of the actual item , fit could be fiddly as its a small piece but looks really good when in position

    Nuts RPG 022.jpg

I would suggest you fit the weapon last after you have done the figure itself

    Back pack

What to say except another really good bit of sculpting loaded up with 2 rockets , looking right as the sit waiting to be taken out and used , nice work on the actual bag itself , again fit is spot on with a well formed block of resin .
    Nuts RPG 016.jpg
The Wheelie Bin, Lid and wheels

Consisting of 4 parts , the main bin , lid and 2 wheels , the main bin is a good sculpt , knocked about in places as these items get , well shaped details on the sides and the leading edges , its about 1/3rd of the bin with the top angled nicely , the lid itself matches this shape perfectly sitting well and looks good , the wheels themselves are little gems extremely well shaped ..and almost rotating !!!

A nice bit of groundwork for the base itself ...great canvas to really go to town weathering and knocking about...perhaps put a torn poster or 2 on it as well ...or graffitti .

    Base/Backwall and Drainpipe

A with others from the series the base is a street pavement , this time with large slabs clearly defined with a couple of cracks from one , we have the locating holes for the back wall itself ...and on the floor a tyre from an abandoned or blown up vehicle , nice work on the tread itself .

The backwall has a bricked archway , the bricks are a nice shape again with a bit of damage on some , the top plaster is still sitting defiantly on the upper part , the window itself also bricked up ..perhaps for protection , on the left side there is a heavy duty door with a bolts in place , its shut , nice sculpt on this and the actual hinges

The Drainpipe is similar to that seen in previous releases and shows the same good level of work , fitting well to the back wall , some modellers might like to replace this with a reworked brass rod.

    Final Thoughts

Without doubt this will be popular to those modellers that like the subject matter and many do , a good addition to the range , its easy to include this and all the others in a larger vignette or diorama . Presentation is well up to the usual high standard , well sculpted and well cast, minimal prep and plenty of painting options both on clothing and the accessories..just let your imagination and brush go wild

Before I finish this lets have a few more pictures of the box art ..inspirational to say the least!...ENJOY

Thanks for the look at the kit! It's a great kit but a shame it's not 1/20. We can always use a figure like this with Maschinen Krieger subjects.

    Prost!
