I'm new to the forum, thought I'd post my two recently completed kits here. This one is about 1/7 scale and depicts Rei in a realistic form rather than her usual animated look.

A very nice smooth and light paint job. Good eye portrayal . I prefer the more westernised look on these type of figures,but always good to see the female form here.
The site seems to concentrate more on male military..........

Excellent finish! I really like your results with her face.

Did you think about showing the open areas of flesh as material for a complete plugsuit, eg, her shoulders and thighs, or is that how the painting guide suggested? Not questioning either as better than the other, just curious. Leaving them open gave you the opportunity to work on flesh tones, of course. Painting them as material would have been a different exercise.

Now you just need to add Asuka, too!

Baron, the flesh areas are per the original except for the V cut out on her back. Funny you should ask because I was going to fill in the sides under the arms until I went back and looked at the original figure pics. I'm glad I did, I think they got it right there. Of course the colors are my own version. Maybe someday I'll add Asuka!
