I'm doing this nice little 54mm flat from Fredericus Rex at the same time as my Greek projects.
It represents a Grenadier of the I Battailon Leibgarde, Infanterie regiment No.15.

That's a very detailed flat and a nice start on the painting.
I have only one comment on the engraving. The lacing seems to stop above the cross-belt.
When compared with his left side, I'd have expected the engraver to show the end(s) peeping out.
Perhaps it's just my eyesight. I have just had a notification from Specsavers.

    Cheers,
    Andrew

Good to see you back to your Prussians, Roger! Nice subtle shading on this guardsman, well done!

    Prost!

    Thanks Andrew.
The figure is based on this Osprey illustration by Bryan Fosten and the lace is the same so no fault of the engraver.
But now you've pointed it out.....:D

No reason why a little dab of paint wouldn't do the trick Roger. That's what painting's all about.

It's tempting but I think I'll leave it as it is Andrew....... for now anyway, until it gets the better of me. :D
