    Hi Guys,

Here's my latest. Pardon the Crappy Iphone pictures. It's painted in oils. I still have to paint the eyes, nose. Then I'm off to the figure.

    Thanks for looking.

All comments, tips or tricks are welcome!

    Marc,

I know how you feel! This thing is a beast, the assembly is very difficult. I had pin and essentially re-sculpt two legs too secure it to the base! I painted and stripped this horse three times in a year. This is not the figure for the faint of heart. My advise for this one is the following. Assemble in stages, then paint in stages. I ended up painting this in quarters and this process seemed to allow me to sharpen my focus on specific areas.

I'm finally reasonably happy with the result. This was a great learning experience. Huge difference painting at this scale vs. 54MM's.

    Regards

Great job on the skin, buddy! The only criticism I have concerns the horseshoes; one does not find shiny horseshoes anywhere. Rusty, muddy, etc. But that is small potatoes. You go, Ranger!

Looks wonderful so far. Definitely looking forward to future updates as I'm starting to get an itch for painting up some similar subjects at that scale, and it'll be great to see how you tackle it.

    Paul,

    Paul,

I thought about that originally! I'll tell you what I have more than enough pictures. I'll post an SBS on the Horse when I'm done painting this figure. My efforts for the next 45 days or is to complete the figure for Chicago. Once that is done I'll post the SBS. Fair enough?

Thanks and I look for to seeing you and your wife again in Chicago.
