    Why Othello?
Because the tragedy in which everything is blended, love, jealousy, carrierism, loyalty, where every injury is subverted, the white soldier is a traitor and the black soldier is loyal (in the sixteenth century the conventions were opposed) and finally where the protagonist is not innocent, he's not Romeo, he's not Puck, he's a man with his demons. I love Shakespeare.
For the figure of Othello I chose an incarnate Arab rather than black because at that time the dark term indicated both the first and the second ethnicity. For the rest it is a splendidly carved Pegasus figurine, a real pleasure to paint it. Hope you like it.
